TEIFI DIVERSE MINDS

A group for neurodivergent adults in the Teifi Valley in West Wales

A social and support group for neurodivergent adults living within travelling distance of Newcastle Emlyn in West Wales. Whether you have a diagnosis, are on a waiting list for a diagnosis, self identified, or seriously think you may be neurodivergent and would like to learn more, this group could be for you. We meet regularly in Newcastle Emlyn town centre, and hope to organise meetings in other parts of the Teifi Valley during 2026. We are also trialling online meetings.

Next Event

When: Thursday 29th January 2026 07:30PM
Where: Online

After a successful trial Zoom meeting, this is the third of what will hopefully become weekly online meetings for neurodivergent people living in Carmarthenshire. The first meeting was a pleasant discussion between some of us, while others quietly watched and listened. There's no set format yet, as we want to see how it goes and what people want from the meetings.

If you would like to take part, please message us for access details using the Contact form.

This is not a Teifi Diverse Minds event, but was started by some of our members.

Support

What support do you need that you're unable to find elsewhere? Let us know. Here are a few suggestions to start with.

Awareness Raising

Raising awareness of neurodivergence can help us to be more accepted and understood, and make life better for everyone. What, if anything, would you like us to do? Tell us in the survey.

  • Sharing experiencies
  • Dispelling stereotypes
  • Helping non neurodivergent people understand us better

Age

Our needs change with age, and how long we have been aware of our neurodivergence. As the group grows we may be able to organise activities and support for different age groups. Tell us what age related activities and support you need.
